Paul Pogba Tests Positive For COVID-19 And Is Excluded From France Squad

The 27-year-old was named for their upcoming Nations League matches next month in France’s squad, but was replaced by Eduardo Camavinga in the squad following his positive test result.

France head coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the news after he named the squad for the games.

Deschamps said: “I had to make a last-minute adjustment to this list because Paul Pogba was supposed to be on this list but unfortunately for him, yesterday he took a Covid-19 test that turned out to be positive today, so he was substituted by Eduardo Camavinga at the last minute”

France is expected to play Sweden on September 5 in Solna and Croatia on September 8 in Paris.
