TRANSFER NEWS : Arsenal Has Officially Signed Teenage Midfielder Salah-Eddine From Feyenoord

Arsenal has signed an agreement with Feyenoord for teenage midfielder Salah-Eddine.

After leaving the Dutch Eredevisie giants this summer the 17-year-old became a free agent and entered the Gunners’ Professional Development Process for the forthcoming season.

The Dutch midfielder, known as ‘Salah‘, has already began training with the north London club’s under-23 side but is aiming for a spot in first-team training led by Mikel Arteta during the 2020-21 campaign.

According to the Arsenal website, Salah said: ‘To join a huge club like Arsenal feels amazing. Working on my growth is a successful opportunity for me and ideally, I will become a first-team player through the academy.

‘My first thoughts were that my teammates are not only very good footballers but they are also fantastic people. The whole atmosphere is optimistic and the work with them is good.

‘I want to become an important player in the under-23s first, and then get involved in some way with the first team. I want to see what this is like but I want to have a very good season with the under-23s above all else.

Perhaps if I do this I will join the first team here and there in the training. And these are my targets.’

At Feyenoord, Salah came through the youth ranks, with the Dutchman defining himself as a central box-to-box midfielder who can play with either foot and who likes to score and get support.

The 17-year-old also claims that while in transition he is excellent at his defensive play.

The Gunners signed deals for young talent from Huddersfield Town and Norwegian side Fram Larvik for Tim Akinola and George Lewi last week.

Arteta’s Arsenal have struck up negotiations this summer with first-team prospects Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares and Willian.
