This was a perfect comeback for London-based club Chelsea despite being left out of FIFA’s transfer windows since seasons ago allegedly breaking the laws of Financial Fair Play. The Blues has become the most lively team in Europe for the transfer since their suspension was lifted for the summer, by cashing out on both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner when thinking about signing Kai Havertz was heated.
Now the Blues have started their search by signing the Spanish giants Barcelona’s hot prospect Xavier Mbuyamba on. The 18-year-old rising star has signed a contract with the London-based club until 2023, according to sources.
Since his contract with Barcelona expired, Xavier was already on free agency, this Chelsea took advantage of it before Barcelona tempted him into their youth squad for a contract extension. Xavier plays back as a center where he was dubbed as the ‘fresh Virgil Van Dijk’ as he has the same length and composure as the Liverpool defender. The club has been scouting the player for a while, but was still struggling because of the club’s transfer ban.
The Netherlands International Right Footed Center back began his career with Dutch-based club Maastricht Mw before moving to Spain, where he has been playing in Barcelona’s UEFA under the 19s for three years now. He led Holland under 19 as well.
The club has already confirmed the signing, where they went to their official tweeting page; “Chelsea club has already confirmed the season’s third signing, Barcelona’s Xavier Mbuyamba.
The 19-year-old talented defender has signed a professional contract where he is set to join our squad development ahead of preparations for next season.”
